There are a lot of ways to celebrate our nation's independence this holiday weekend, but these days getting to and from all the fun activities can cost a pretty penny, not to mention the rising costs of food for backyard barbecues, and even fireworks. (7/3/08)

Campaign '08: McCain Shakeup & the Public Pulse
A seismic shakeup brings three new names to prominent positions in the McCain campaign, and all three are longtime veterans of the White House and Bush's own campaign staff. It's no surprise why the economy is the number one issue among voters. Employers have now cut jobs for six months in a row. 62,000 jobs were lost in this country in June; 438,000 jobs lost so far this year. (7/3/08)

New York hospital officials say they're shocked by surveillance footage showing a woman falling from her chair in a Kings County Hospital waiting area in Brooklyn, writhing on the floor and dying as workers failed to help for about an hour.
