Fonterra Cut Back On Milk Product Prices

Fonterra announced today further cuts to milk solids payouts, telling farmers to expect 60c less per kilo than earlier promised.
This brings forecast payouts to $6 a kg far below last year's record of $7.90.
It's the second time the Dairy co-operative have decreased expected payouts this season, dropping the kilogram payout by 40c in September. ›read more

Air New Zealand To Cut Two-Hundred Full-Time Jobs

Our only national carrier, Air New Zealand announced yesterday plans to cut two-hundred full-time jobs in order to save about twenty-million dollars a year.
The majority of cuts are in the cabin crew and operations sectors and the airline hopes these cuts can be achieved on a voluntary basis. ›read more
