Federer ousted at Rogers Cup in Toronto
World No. 1 Roger Federer is out at the Rogers Cup. The top seed from Switzerland lost 2-6, 7-5, 6-4 to France's Gilles Simon. It was Federer's first match since losing the men's final at Wimbledon in five sets to Spain's Rafael Nadal. Full Story.(Photo: The Canadian Press)

Kayaker Adam van Koeverden has been selected as Canada's flag bearer for the opening ceremonies August 8 in Beijing. Van Koeverden carried the Canadian flag in the closing ceremonies at the 2004 Olympics in Athens. Full Story.
