Join Mayor Mary Verner for part 2 of a special conversation with Expo Visionary, King Cole and a look at incentives for turning your business green, on this month’s Your City with Mayor Verner.

Council Member Richard Rush host this month’s Council Connection program titled “Smart Routes: Creating a First-Class Walking and Biking Community.”  Joining Council Member Rush will be guests:  Dr. Bob Lutz, Chair of the Spokane Bicycle Advisory Board; Cindy Green, Program Manager for the Spokane Regional Health District; Barb Chamberlain, Chair of Bike to Work Week; and Ross Kelley, of HDR Engineering and a Smart Routes Committee member. 
 
This month on Spokane Insight:

• Get the inside track on working for the City of Spokane.
• Learn how you can clean up your neighborhood.

Take to the streets with Spokane officers again as segments of the television program COPS are shown this month on SPD TV.

Spokane Building Blocks is a monthly citizen education series on a broad range of city planning-related topics. The City of Spokane’s newest motto, “Near Nature, Near Perfect,” reflects the city’s proximity to the region’s outdoor activities.  Find out what is being done by the Planning Services Department to identify the characteristics that make Spokane unique and to implement design measures that will reconnect the built environment with the natural heritage of the region.
