2005-2006

 

During the 2005-2006 School year there were 195 different events aired on Eastern Ct. Cable Channel 20. The following will break down those events and give you an idea on what to expect for the 2006-2007 school year.

 

*Board of Education Meeting: Every Board of Education meeting held during the 04/05 school year was aired LIVE on Channel 20 from the Killingly Town Hall. Each meeting was re-aired a minimum of 6 times during the 2 weeks that followed. Board of Education meetings can be seen the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.

 

*Town Council Meeting: The Killingly Town Council meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:15 pm.  Each meeting is broadcast LIVE and will be re-broadcast a minimum of 6 times in the 2 weeks that follow.

*Budget and Town Meetings: The Killingly Board of Education and Town Council Budget meetings will air LIVE on Channel 20 during budget season. Meetings are held 3-4 times each week in March and April. The Annual Town Meeting will air LIVE in May from the KHS Auditorium.

*Killingly Public Schools Special Events: Most Assemblies and events held in Killingly Schools are aired for LIVE or Taped Delayed broadcast on Channel 20. Last year there were 50 events taped in Killingly Schools that include Concerts, Showcases, Talent Shows, Special Assemblies and Awards Ceremonies.

*Inside KHS Sports: Since 1998 Inside KHS Sports has covered nearly 400 KHS Athletic Events. During the 2005-2006 School Year Inside KHS Sports covered 70 events from 17 teams in Killingly High School. This year Inside KHS Sports has already produced 24 Fall athletic events and have nearly 30 scheduled for the Winter season.

*KHS Weekly: Developed in 2002, KHS Weekly has acted as the official weekly television program our of Killingly High School. It is produced and anchored by Killingly High School students and covers all the happenings in KHS

Headrush: A weekly gameshow the challenges KHS students on many different topics. This show is produced the advanced video students at KHS and debuted last Spring.

*Morning Announcements: WKCS, WKMS are produced daily in each school and acts as “Morning Announcements” featuring the news of the day. Both programs are aired nearly every school day on Channel 20 at 1:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.


*TV Schedule: Not only is the TV Schedule posted on the Channel 20 information scroll. Beginning in mid February 2007 ALL Channel 20 programs aired after September 1st, 2007 will be available through Channel 20 ON-DEMAND at www.killinglyschools.org


Broadcast Schedule for the week of April 30, 2007 :: Modified May 01, 2007

The following events will be televised this week on Metrocast Cable Channel 20.

Killingly Town Council Special Meeting of April 30 will be broadcast LIVE from the Killingly Town Hall beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Killingly Town Council Special Meeting of May 1st will be broadcast LIVE from the Killingly Town Hall beginning at 7:30 p.m. (This is a tentative broadcast) 

Killingly Board of Education Regular Meeting of May 9th will be broadcast LIVE from the Killingly Town Hall beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Killingly Public Schools presents "Attending to Attendance in Killingly". Broadcast times are Monday-Friday at 4:00 p.m. with additional airings on Friday at 1:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., Saturday at 9:00 a.m., 12:00 Noon and 5:00 p.m. and Sunday at 9:00 a.m., 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Inside KHS Sports presents Redmen Baseball VS Stonington of April 24th. Broadcast times are Friday at 7:00 p.m., Saturday at 1:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and Sunday at 1:00 a.m. and 12:00 Noon.

Inside KHS Sports presents Redgal Softball VS Windham of April 25th. Broadcast times are Friday at 9:00 p.m., Saturday at 3:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. and Sunday at 3:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

KHS Weekly is a Killingly High School Student production featuring the current news from KHS. See it Monday-Friday at 1:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. with new episodes each Thursday.

WKCS/WKMS features the news from each school day and can be see the following times.
WKMS: 12:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
WKCS: 12:45 p.m. and 6:15 p.m.
