A news article has appeared here and elsewhere, quoting me as saying that LCD Soundsystem is over, or that they have split up. I would like to clarify that LCD have not disbanded, nor could the entity be disbanded in the sense that it has always had a revolving cast of players - it would be like saying that The Fall had disbanded, or Prince has split up. LCD Soundsystem is James Murphy, and he's allowed to take time off, do other things, and come back, or not come back. And he doesn't have to tell you or anyone else about it. I didn't know if anything was going on with LCD next year, which is the truth, and that's all I should have said, but I gabbled on a bit because that's the way I am and I didn't imagine in million years that anyone would concoct a story out of it... Anyway, I should probably stop doing interviews after this, which is already my second chance. But the main point to take away is that more LCD music is in the pipeline, which is surely good news for everybody.

Our apologies to any fans in Manchester or Glasgow who came to our shows expecting and hoping to see British vocal stylist Wiley. Unfortunately, Wiley was unable to perform due to personal reasons; he will also not be appearing at our Brixton shows. Instead, we have called in our friends from the band The Invisible (pictured above), who will entertain you with their particular brand of optimistic sponge-pop. Here's looking forward to a cracking end to a very enjoyable UK tour.
Haven't seen our video for Wrestlers yet? Check it out below!
Max Tundra, who is currently our special guest on tour, has recorded a great cover version of our very own 'Playboy' to mark the occasion and here it is for you completely gratis:

if you like what you hear then check out more music on his myspace site and be sure to check his wild live set on the tour.. so get down there early!
Dear readers,
I have a new solo album, 'Rubbed Out', available now via London's Treader label. You can find it here: www.treader.org
and in all good record shops...Thanks, Alexis
HOT CHIP join an impressive line up of Moshi Moshi artists past and present, to headline the label's 10th Birthday bash on Oct 18th.
As one of the UK's most influential taste maker labels, Moshi Moshi share a long association with the band, having released their debut - the 4 track 12" ''Down With Prince' in early 2004 - going on to release Hot Chip's first album 'Coming On Strong' later that year.
Hot Chip will top a bill that includes Kate Nash / Florence And The Machine / Tilly And The Wall / Slow Club / The Wave Pictures and James Yuill + Greco Roman and Moshi Moshi DJs, leading an all night extravaganza at the recently launched Matter.
Moshi will be holding the party in support of Shelter with £1 from each ticket price going to the charity. Tickets for the night cost £16 in advance, available from here.
MATTER is the new venue from the owners of Fabric, located at The O2 in North Greenwich.
Alexis, it was great talking to you about the Casio MT-70. Listening to some Arthur Russell right now.

We're all currently recovering from the excellent festival known as "Austin City Limits" in Austin, Texas. A relaxed, convivial atmosphere reigned throughout a balmy, but far from unpleasantly hot summer's day, and everyone seemed up for a good ol' time at the hot chip show, including one Mr. David Byrne, pictured above in the centre with a white shirt and a beaming smile. I just found this photo on the chuckerr blog, which was lucky, as we were unsure for some time whether he was really there or not. We had some footage of the show and scoured it for some time for signs of our favourite Scottish-American Manhattanite, greeting his appearance with squeals of glee when he showed up alongside his dancers at the side of the stage. After the gig, we raced over to his stage to watch from the front, and although we missed "Strange Overtones", we were very excited to see "My Big Nurse" and all the old Talking Heads classics. His new album with Eno is still available to buy here.
