Big Band Broadcast
Two Local Shows!
Presented by Artbeat
|
|
Ticket Pricing: $47.00, 37.00, 27.00
The Big Band Broadcast starring Holly Larocque and the 13-piece Mark Ferguson Orchestra is a joyful and high-powered return to the golden age of radio broadcasts from the starlit ballrooms of the 1940's.
The audience is invited back in time from the first strains of the opening number, Singin' With the Big Bands, and guided on a sentimental journey by the engaging forties-style patter of the Radio Announcer. |
Big Band era tunes include Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree, Stardust, In the Mood, And the Angels Sing, and the show is peppered with vintage radio jingles and local station call letters.
Holly Larocque and the Mark Ferguson Orchestra present their live concerts in the form of a 1940's radio broadcast. The Big Band Broadcast is ever changing in content but always true to the glamour of the swing era.
This broadcast format with its driving rhythms, retro-hip eye candy, and clever commercials (written by Ferguson and Larocque),held together by the suave, if slightly unpredictable Radio Announcer, has become the signature of Holly and the boys in concert halls all over North America
