John’s first radio experience was at a hospital radio station in Sunderland, UK, back in the 80’s. He then hosted shows on several RSL stations before joining Sunderland’s Wear FM 103.4 in the late 80’s where he stayed until the station closed in the mid 90’s presenting a variety of shows. Wear FM proudly won the Sony Gold Award in 1992. With a keen interest in music and radio from a young age, John has a large collection of music and music knowledge, and usually adds some useful facts and figures to the show together with the occasional rare track or two. and now on the Magic FM Network with
